Privacy Notice

Save Barcode is built to keep a simple job simple. This notice explains the personal information we handle when you use the service and the limited providers that help us run it.
Information we handle
- Wallet data. The card names, organizations, barcode values, categories, notes, and related data you choose to save. Your wallet works locally on your device. If you choose account backup, we also keep a synced copy for that account.
- Account and sharing data. Your email address and the information needed to issue and verify a one-time sign-in code. When you share a card, we also handle the recipient email address, the card being shared, and the information needed to issue and verify a share-access code.
- Bulk-import images. If you use bulk import, the screenshots you select after accepting the upload notice. Barcode detection runs on your device; the selected images are retained privately with your import and account backup.
- Feedback. The message you send through the feedback form and, if you are signed in, the account associated with it.
- Technical and security data. Basic request information, such as IP address, browser/device information, and security signals that are normally processed to operate and protect a web service.
How we use information
We use information to provide the wallet, authenticate your account, provide recipient-restricted card sharing, save and sync your cards when you opt into backup, process bulk imports, respond to feedback, prevent abuse, keep the service secure, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information, show advertising, or use behavioural advertising trackers.
Save Barcode does not currently use artificial intelligence to analyze your screenshots, generate card details, or train models on your data. We will not use your information for a materially different purpose without explaining it and obtaining any required consent.
Subprocessors
We use the following service providers to operate Save Barcode. They process personal information only as needed to provide services to us.

We may change providers as the service evolves. We will update this list before or when a material new provider begins processing personal information for us.
Cookies and similar technology
When you sign in, Save Barcode uses a necessary session cookie to keep your account authenticated. After you verify a recipient-restricted share, it also uses a necessary cookie so you can reopen that specific share for a limited time. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies. Cloudflare’s bot-protection service may use its own security technology to distinguish legitimate users from automated traffic.
Retention and deletion
Information stored only on your device remains there until you remove it, clear browser storage, or uninstall the app. For account backup and bulk-import images, we retain information while it is needed to provide the account and import features, unless you delete it or ask us to delete your account. Recipient email addresses used for a share are removed when the shared card is deleted. We may retain limited information where necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.
You can delete individual saved cards in the app and export your wallet. To request account or bulk-import-image deletion, email privacy@savebarcode.com from the address connected to your account.
Your choices and rights
You can choose not to create an account, not to use bulk import, or not to provide feedback. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to applicable law. You can also withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing; this may affect features that require that information.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect the information we handle. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so please protect your device and do not upload information that you are not comfortable storing in an online account.
